Au domoni iko written on the palm of my hand,
only to be washed away by the night and never spoken to you out loud....

Au domoni iko, my heart yearns for you,
Trying so hard not to let my feelings be known, but you discovered them as I touched your hand.....

Au domoni iko, never i thought love such as this was possible,
just looking in your eyes I forget myself, and am absorbed into you.....

Au domoni iko, time may never grant me the moment to say these words to you
But in my heart, you'll always have this love, no demands made, freely given for you to take....

Au domoni iko, I'll never want to tame you, be as free as a bird, I admire your wings.....
and when your feathers touch me, there is no place in the world I'd rather be.....

Au domoni iko, when you held me in your arms as I wrapped myself tightly around you,
only one wish I had, If I were to die now, this is the moment I'd ask for, my last wish...

to capture this feeling, that moment, that tiny flicker of eternity, and hold it forever
Au domoni iko.....

and as I finally had the courage to speak these words, you answered me ..... with "Vakalevu", and the rest as they say is history.

Au Domoni Iko part 2...

Au domoni iko, thinking back to the strange way we first met and spoke...

And how we grow so close in just a few short days....

You were the first one to show me the meaning of "Au domoni iko"...

Au domoni iko makes me smile and fall over you again...

Au domoni iko,you make my heart beat faster each time I speak to you...

Au domoni iko,you are the one I wanna hold for the rest of my life...

Au domoni iko,you melt me everytime you tell me about the future that you wanna spend with me....

And how we could show the world the real meaning of Au domoni iko...

Au domoni iko I don't think I could live a day knowing that you are not in my life....

Au domoni iko,I know when we first spoke, everyone wanted us apart....

Au domoni iko, they thought our relationship could never last....

We prove them wrong...

Au domoni iko,you and I know that forever is a very long time..

But it won't be enough time for me to spend with you coz really Au domoni iko...

Au domoni iko,I hate being far from you...

Au domoni iko,I am blessed to have you in my life and will value every moment of our life when we become one....

Au domoni iko, obstacle will always exist....

With you by my side, they are only specs of dust on the road...

Have a wonderful day...

Pl whisper those 3 little words once again...

...Gr8 stuff Andrea....Congrats....

Fijians, by nature are abashedly inhibited when it comes to showing love and affection. With the influence of western culture[hollywood etc] we've evolved to the point of assimilation, eg a peck on spouse lips in public, or simply saying the 3 magical words [i luv u ] in front of the kids, but only in english. 'Au domoni iko' when spoken, comes out worse than a Chinese or Indian speaking broken Fijian. So I must Thank you Andreafor above lines of romance which helps us to dissolve the awkwardness of AU DOMONI IKO. Raj asked where you draw your inspiration from.... you mentioned the Kali. He must be doin somethin right. Like my grandma in the village used to say, "If you want the sweetest apples, you gotta know how to shake the tree.... More poetic lines plis.
