I take my hat off to the Methodist church of Fiji & Rotuma for taking the difficult and humbling decision to back down to the Regime. It was brave and the right thing to do. It made me proud to be a Methodist.
Rev Tevita Banivanua told the Fiji Times. "But we're strengthened by God's word when He said: 'For when I am weak, then I am strong' (2 Corinthians 12:10)."
It may seem to the world that many doors are closed, but this is when the God we believe in steps in and when he opens a door, no one can close it.
I notice that there is not much happening on the Headlines and Blogs about the fiasco that was on between the Methodist Church and the Military regime about a week ago. Maybe it is time that we show some support to the Methodist Church of Fiji.
So do not fear, for I am with you;
do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you;
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
Let us carry on praying for that is what we are called to do.
