Criminal Background Check

Criminal Background Check as the name indicates, means something related to checking criminal record. It is a database where all the information related to all the criminals is stored. There are two ways to maintain the record: online and offline. Offline record includes the traditional method of maintaining the record which involves searching overhead.

But online… Continue

The Illegal People's Charters Reappears to be the CentrePiece of Fiji's Constitution

This is my take for this lollipop being dangled in front of what is now a passive populace who have lack the stamina to go against this monostrous political power- the National Fiji Military Forces Party.

The idea is so noble and intentions are but self-serving and the Illegal Government and its Illegal PM trying to educate who are more educated and more law-abiding citizens then them and those wielding the guns around the peaceful nation of Fiji.

This one stinks… Continue

CAN WE SEE THE CHRIST ON CHRISTMAS

This is a beautiful time of the year. Trees are draped with sparkling lights, the stores glitter with dazzling decorations, and the streets bustle with crowds of shoppers seeking gifts for those they love.

All of these spectacular displays and decorations that compete for our attention can be beautiful and uplifting, but if that’s all we see, then we’re missing something that’s in plain sight. Sometimes, despite our best intentions, we become so preoccupied with responsibilities,… Continue

Christmas In The Village!

i had made a vow early this morning...." to enjoy christmas at home with my kids" instead of thinking of my relatives gathered in Nukuni & at Lomanikoro. Ever since my son offered (on monday) to pay my airfare to fiji, my mind had already settled itself at tabarua laughing with everyone and at everything. my feet had walked the newly laid footpath & reveled at the most familiar feel of squishy sodden rich black earth. my eyes had watched the arrival & the embraces between the many… Continue

Chinese Eye Fiji Properties

Sai's Comments:

No doubt the illegal regime will be keenly eyeing this as a foreign exchange earner to prop up the Fiji economy.

It is clear that the regime's existence rests largely on trying to keep the economy going, even to the point of bleeding the locals. This is evidenced by the desperate measures it has put in place which defies economic sense.

Reducing the age of retirement to save money will have the opposite effect due to loss of…

NZ to Re-engage With Fiji

Sai's Comments:

We can only wish NZ well in its honest attempt to re-engage with the illegal regime in Fiji. I guess some dialogue is better than none so as to keep the lines of communication open and to facilitate business between the two nations.

No doubt NZ will be weary about being seen to be dictated to by the Fiji regime as it might give the impression that it's back to "business as usual"!!

The fact is Fiji has more to gain out of a…

CHRISTMAS AND JESUS.. DO NOT MIX!!!!

It’s amazing how many people actually believe that December 25th is Jesus/Yahshua’s birthday. The real fact is, that the Christmas celebration was instituted by the Catholic church in the 4th century in order to entice pagan Romans to convert to Christianity without losing their own winter solstice celebrations (Natalis Solis Invicti & Saturnalia). The celebration of the winter solstice (on Dec 25th) also has significant pagan roots in… Continue

Scenario Planning for Fiji's Future

In thinking about how Fiji might be able to chart its way out of the present bleak political situation, I thought an exercise in future scenario planning could offer a number of plausible stories that could guide the development of a pathway to stable democratic rule.

Borrowing from the South African "Mont Fleur" experience during the transition from minority white rule, four similar future scenarios emerge that are applicable to Fiji if we project a 10 year future to… Continue

RAIKADROKA'S MINISTRY

"TO HAVE THE BEST HEALTH IN LIFE"

He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most high shall abide under the shadow of the almighty. I will say of the Lord, he is my refuge and my fortress = my God, in him I trust.

Psalm 91 : 01 - 02

YOUR, FEELING, FEAR, FUTURE

FEELING: I don't know how you feel - lost your job, lost your loved one, distress and worries - God is your refuge.

FEAR: Faith moves fear and take you to another level. David as a… Continue

RAIKADROKA'S MINISTRY

"TO HAVE THE BEST HEALTH IN LIFE"

And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is CHARITY.

1 Corinthians 13:13

Love is the greatest gift (Sa i yau levu duadua na loloma)

And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have faith, so that I could remove mountains and have not charity, I am nothing. (vs. 2)

Faith, hope and knowledge are in the mind but love is from the… Continue

Media Law Sparks Interest

Sai's Comments:

In normal times, one would expect consultation on the development of this piece of law. But sad to say this will not be the case as the illegal regime will seek to use this as another instrument to silence opposition to its illegal rule.

If only the regime would realise the value of having an informed media as an instrument to educate and inform the public about the affairs of the State. But when you have reasons to hide away your secrets, coupled with the…

What Human Rights Still Exist in Fiji?

Sai's Comments:

The good Reverend must be referring to some abstract notion of human rights, since everyone knows that in practice, human rights in Fiji exist only in theory.

It really is surprising that the CCF still trumpets the non-existent hope that people in Fiji still enjoy basic human rights. He is being very selective and is unable to point to the exercise of the rights he is referring to in practice. No doubt his piece would not make it to…

State to "Wipe Out Discrimination" - What A Farce!

Sai's Comment

What a laugh! This man must be talking through his head. How on earth can the State "wipe out discrimination"? Passing laws and decrees definitely will not as discrimination ultimately has to do with human behaviour that is shaped by the environment they're in.

The current environment in Fiji is one where discrimination is thriving through the State's action and inaction. Its ill treatment of citizens and the denial of freedom and opportunities…

Kiwi Blogger's Take on Fiji Blogs

Below is a post on Croz Walsh's Blog on those blogging about the Illegal Regime in Fiji. He claims to take a neutral view about the situation in Fiji.

What do you think?

I think he is being economic with the reality in Fiji and the motives of those in power. He paints an idealistic view to the point of pandering to the whims of those in power. He appears to discount and has misjudged the genuine depth of… Continue
