Bula Vinaka ST! I've been abit busy lately with a sick aunt but hope to be back in swing of things soon. My husband and I were in Cali for 4 weeks. Had a hectic but awesome time. For all the love that I have for our country, i always looked forward to coming home after trips abroad. Somehow, I had a depressed feeling as we flew into Fiji airspace! I had hoped to come home to some glimmer of hope that things will soon change with our illegal regime only to find that they have sunk their claws into the Methodist ministers. Big disappointment there. What will it take to see things change Sam? Can we really wait till 2014 for our elections? .......

Malo Bula Tau. I like the way you are commenting, for always stick to the bible because the truth shall make you free. Serving God is a choise, and read Mathew 13:24-30,36-40, the parable of the Weeds among the Wheat. The servants saw the weeds growing among the wheats. They reported to the Master, but he said,"Let them grow together until harvesttime." So we have a great job to witness to the world so that we reap the harvest. My topic tomorrow will be "The Church Reformation". Have a Happy Farther's Day.

Greetings from Canada,
Nice meeting you Samuela. I take it you've been in California for awhile now. How long? I've been living in Canada since i was 4yrs old, straight from Fiji. To me it seems that for a lot of us, when we leave our homeland we either carry on traditions and culture or slowly become a number as you put it. The good thing about living in North America is that its so culturally diverse that it's welcomed to carry on with the same traditions as we had in our homeland, to a point. I'm thankful for that. As i became an adult, i became more interested in my ancestry...hence recognizing your last name and inquiring. I try to get as much info from my grand-mother about family history while she's still with us. Thanks for replying to my earlier comment. Moce mada, chat soon, God bless.

Bula Samuela,
You don't know me, but your last name struck a chord in my brain...your last name is the same as my great-grandmother (her maiden name). Her father, my great great grandfather was Jowape Emosi Tawakilai. It's rare for me to come across someone with the same last name. Anyways just thought it was interesting and who knows, maybe your a long lost relative. Take care, God bless.
