Na watiqu na Marama ni Viti Naimasimasi Tailevu
Suluia Motokawa Tagicakibau (Ruddy)
While living in Hawaii, I met some kaivalagi from san Fran back in '89. They had a photo of a beautiful island woman and her son on the wall. I said "Wow! Who's that?!" And they told me of Sulu and their time in Fiji. I wrote to Sulu sending a photo of my daughter and myself. We talked on the phone a few times and I finally brought Sulu up to Hawaii and we met in person Sept. 17th, 1991. I asked her to marry me on Sept. 19th, only two days later! Yeah, she said 'Yes!' So now it's been over 18 years together. I love her dearly and am so happy she's in my life. Loving Sulu actually makes me want to be a better man. Our kids are grown now so we're 'empty-nesters' that borrow kids sometimes. HaHa! Enjoying life...
