TALANOA NI PALA...
Pala has been used in RKS for Valavalava – The name Pala was introduced in RKS in about 1977-76 when a student of the name Josua Sereki aka Palapa (now a pastor of the Gospel church in Lami) came to RKS. Palapa (whose mum is from Yadrana in Lakeba) saw some senior boyz coming back from the farm with their Pala and asked them if he could also have some and instead of asking for valavalava he said “PALAPA”..and so from then on Josua Sereki was known as Palapa and Valavalava in RKS has been known as PALA…
