Hollywood celebrities Tyler James Williams, Nia Long and Tatyana Ali have fallen in love with Fiji after arriving into the country yesterday.
The three stars were given a rousing welcome at two Nadi schools yesterday.

A fourth film actor, Kimberly Elise, arrives today to complete the celebrity list to help promote the Fiji Tennis Invitation Classic, which will be held at the Denarau Golf and Racquet Club from today.

Nia Long, the star of Big Momma’s House, said she had tears in her eyes after Nadi Airport School students gave them a touching reception.

“I just had tears in my eyes as I came in. I have to tell you (students) that you all are so beautiful and handsome,” Ms Long said.

“It’s the first time I have come to the islands of Fiji and I have never seen so many beautiful people.”

Tatyana Ali, who starred in the hit TV series The Fresh Prince of Bel Air, said being in Fiji had made them feel like they were at home.

“It’s like I am seeing people I have known throughout my life and it’s like seeing my family,” Ms Ali said.

Star of Everybody Hates Chris, Tyler James Williams was a hit with the young women at Nadi Muslim School.

All three stars gave inspiring words to encourage students to achieve their dreams.

Fiji Tennis Invitation Classic president, Ademola Odumole said the event was created to bring hope and shine some light on the children of Fiji.

“Let’s bring some attention. Hopefully when the news goes back to the United States they can begin to say we went to a place called Fiji that has needs,” said Mr Odumole.

“One of them (Hollywood stars) said if Fiji is that nice I might even begin to mention Fiji in my movie scripts which opens a whole different door.”

Despite our current statues in Fiji, Celebrities & tourists still flock to our shores.; ▶ Reply to This
