This wave of so called "Revolution" so touted by the NM's is really a false move of the flesh carnality. This is not a genuine move of God. When God has spoken prophetically of bringing his glory and revival to a nation, the carnal fleshly man springs into action and births an Ishmael (Abrahams first child by Sarahs handmaid). Ishmael is birthed out of offense, and impatience. For the rest of us patiently waiting like Sarah for her promised coming son, we are seeing the birth of Ishmael in our nation. He is not the promised one. Ishmael and his mother Hagar brought great offense to Sarah. This false move has brought great offense to our nation. The promised one will bring unity, healing, peace, love, joy, true koinonia (community) and most of all love and forgiveness. ISAAC IS BEING FORMED IN THE WOMB OF THE SPIRIT NOW....the days of our tears and groanings will soon be over because ISAAC, the true move of REVIVAL, RESTORATION & REFORMATION is COMING to the great BODY of CHRIST!!!!The Ishmaels will soon be banished from the house of Abraham!!

Lets just look at it from another perspective ...
(probably going against the grain here...)

They are not saying "Praise the Lord.." when chasing crooks, do they?
They are not saying "Praise the Lord.." when arresting a criminal, do they?

I thought they only say that when answering phones (in the office)...??
Lets be fair, I think many have let their imaginations run wild here ... just to ridicule the cops.
Would you rather they say ..."as-salaamu ‘alaikum" ?

Whence did the phrase "Praise the Lord" confined to a church (or religious) environment only?
I think many are just ignorant of what the phrase really means and are ridiculing its use because they know no better.
Would I be wrong if I say that many of us here are Christians? Wouldn't it be good to expose our faith (if you are not ashamed!) wherever we are, in whatever we do, even in the work place, or would you rather keep that faith exclusively within your religious setting...?

(:

Hi Jerex...........The Methodists Church tried that a while ago remember? The great Sunday ban and road blocks ......all for trying to push the idea of Fiji be recognised as a Christian State.......................and guess what?

The very same regime bashed and pushed/chased them back home and gave them a warning that this(Fiji) is a Democratic country that respects the rights of all religioun!

Now you tell me Jerex...........why praise the lord now? What about the respect for non christians making a call to the Police station? Is this the right place to preach your Christian faith by advertising?

I thought Christ came, showed us the real way to live and left. The choice to follow he says is yours......and you will be rewarded if you do......and not by forced when you don't want to hear and were made to hear it by phone..............cheap shot!!

good point Jerex! people forget the power of the spoken word. either that or they do not really know the WORD. greeting is the FIRST point of contact, of a conversation etc. all else follows, such is the etiquette of life. sadly some of the comments here reveal the ignorance of this one pivotal point in a speech. I thank God for what He is doing in this nation NOW. it may not look or sound good but i thank God all the same for i hear the name of Jesus praised and proclaimed from street corners and churches and even police stations!!! Let us declare the saving power of our God in our generation NOW. No one is perfect but that should not stop us from trying. Since God spoke the word into nothing and the world was brought into existance, He took the word and hung it back on nothing, just imagine how much Fiji can achieve when each time the station officers greet each phone call with "Praise the Lord" Wonderful to know that the Fiji Police force are actually quoting Psalms 150. what other police force on earth has done that????????

@ Jerek

affirm your point.

I find no reasons why not?

'Hello'-its hackneyed, hello here there and everywhere!......

'Praise the Lord'-sublime and pure!

Issue: Freedom, rights, officers being coerced...for real! ...what abt Jah's right long overdue for giving u a heart, mind, air, water, sunlight.....

Irony: its funny some non-christian officers applaud the idea, whilst 'so-called' christians in this forum mock, slander and ridicule.

Verdict: 'Praise the Lord'

I have no objection to the new telephone greeting procedures at the Samabula Police Station. I just wonder if the following cases have been solved and the perpetrators are taken to court.
1) Kenneth Zinck’s vehicle broken into in the heart of Suva about 40 meters from Central Police Station.
2) Netani Rika’s house was attacked by some cowards who can not face him face to face.
3) Raivoce’s house was attacked by some cowards who can not face him face to face.
4) Mesake Koroi’s house was attacked by some cowards who can not face him face to face.
5) Laisa Digitaki’s house was attacked by some cowards who can not face her face to face.
6) Pramod Rae’s vehicle was attacked by some cowards who can not face him face to face.

Police officers face action in drug probe
Fijilive
September 07, 2009

Fiji police personnel suspected of involvement in drug dealing now face incarceration as internal investigations heat up.

Police spokeswoman Ema Dimila said the investigating team had pictures of the alleged deals and vehicles used in transactions where drugs confiscated in major police raids in Fiji’s highlands this year were resold to peddlers.

Dimila said police commissioner Commodore Esala Teleni will make the decision on the kind of disciplinary action warranted in the matter.

“The photos are with the Commissioner and were tendered in the report and I know a lot of the members of the public are talking about how credible police officers are with these kinds of issues going on.”

She said that such activities had been prevalent in the force and a cleanup was now taking place.

“I must remind the public that this has been taking place for a long, long time in the force and it could not only be in the Drug Unit, it could also be in other avenues as well.”

She added this is part of efforts by the force to rid corruption from within its own ranks.

Hi half-cast ...

"Now you tell me Jerex...........why praise the lord now? What about the respect for non christians making a call to the Police station? Is this the right place to preach your Christian faith by advertising?"

Is it really disrespecting non-Christians when a police officer say on the phone..."Praise the Lord, Samabula Police Staion, how may I help you?" ...? How is it any different to saying ...."Ni bula vinaka, Samabula Police....." or " Namaste, Samabula Police...." or "G'day, Samabula Police...." ..etc.
No place is the wrong place for me to share my faith in God.

"I thought Christ came, showed us the real way to live and left. The choice to follow he says is yours......and you will be rewarded if you do......and not by forced when you don't want to hear and were made to hear it by phone..............cheap shot!!"

And what was that real way??
Are you also going to condemn those that preach by the roadsides? or those that have "open-air" programs in the parks? and tell them that is not what Christ wanted because there are non-Christians around that do not want to hear their preachings? cheap shot!!!???

Reply to This

hahahahahaha.......hey those that asked for permits to preach by road sides and open air programmes are ok! You see these are targeted areas where they will inform the residence through paper clips, advertisements etc etc as the law requires and that is in respect to everyones cultural and religious faith and will take some time for complaints and negative reactions(as resource consent). If there is no objections then the ok/permit will be issued. If one single family objects to the 100 it will not pass until visitations asking for approval is granted then is ok!

Now you see how beautiful DEMOCRACY exercises itself. It cares the rights of every individual under its governance...wether rich or poor! You voice as a minority still counts!

Now compare that with a PUBLIC TELEPHONE! Especially from a Police Derptment! This is a Ministry that upholds Law and order. They are discipline in dishing out fairness and equal to all irrespective of colour/nationality/creed etc and they must uphold fairness and balance!

For this ministry to force Christianty Greetings on a public phone is an act of bully disrespecting non Christians rights who don't want to hear it!
Jerex......I wouldn't mind hearing that from an office of a Bible Ministry,Methodists Bookcenter,Lelean Memorial School,Ballantine High School,Dudley,AOG fitness centre etc etc..................................!!

Get me!!...............................For a Ministry that was suppose to uphold fairness and balance for everyone big or small but decided to lean onto Christianity as its Batch is ................yeah Cheap shot! lolzzzzz

Waikauuuuuuuuuu........!!
