INDEED YOU CANNOT CHANGE THE PAST- BUT YOU CAN CHANGE YOUR FUTURE! WE ALL HAVE SOMETHING ABOUT OUR PAST THAT ONE WAY OR ANOTHER MADE BAD OR DECISIONS. NOBODY KNOWS THAT BUT ONLY YOU. WE MAY TRY TO HIDE IT OR PRETENT THAT IT WAS NOT THERE BUT YOU KNOW WHAT-EVERY NOW AND THEN IT USUALLY POPS OUT FROM YOUR MIND AND BRINGS FORTH WITH IT ALL THE PAIN, AGONY AND GUILTY CONSCIOUS YOU ONCE HAVE. BY SHARING THAT YOU HAVE ACTUALLY LIGHTEN MUCH OF THAT BURDEN YOU HAVE BUT PLIZ DO NOT SUPPRESS. TRY AND LOOK BACK TO DISCERN WHICH WRONG DECISION OR ACT YOU MADE THAT CHANGES OR TAKE AWAY THINGS YOU THINK THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN DIFFERENT HAD YOU MADE THE RIGHT CHOICE. YOU CAN USE A DIFFERENT NAME IF YOU WANT TO. I KNOW YOU HAVE ONE-COME ON SHARE IT WITH US!!
I can only be thankful of the past, though a bad decision for once in my life has made me a stronger person, though not regretted. What i learned in life is HONESTY is a virtue. Whatever hardships we go through, when one is honest, it overrules everything & anything what may come... When i look back, it is amazing to see what next level of blessing God can do in anyones life.
U know what Blanco, for me to be able to set foot here in the States, is a blessing so...I can only be thankful and amazed of how other peoples lives (specially our families) have been blessed. Yes!! all i can say is, God is an Awesome God!!!!!!
Our past has made us of what we are today, i believe everything that happens in our lives happens for a reasons, i wouldnt change anything of my past it has made me stronger, determined and self sufficient, without may past tribulations i think i wouldnt b where i am today getting a good job and travelling the world!!!
There were so many mistakes that I had committed in the past that I wish I had ommitted. I know that many of the trials and adversities that had and have happened to me and my family were results of those mistakes. Whilst I hope that I would not commit those same mistakes again, the trials and tribulations I had and have gone through had and have been great and learning experiences for me. I would go through those trials again if they are to make me a better person.
It makes me wonder whether God had allowed us to make those mistakes to learn from them, or whether those mistakes were just the results of our foolish decisions, or selfish desires perhaps? Either way, if we change and make the right and wise decisions later in life, then those happenings were for the right reasons and some of those are for our own well-being and for our improvements.
"Look to the past and learn from it; anticipate the future and look forward to a thousand opportunities."-Gordon B Hinckley.
Regrets is part of life that most of us wish that we never encounter it. Unforseen circumstances leads us to temptation which we later regret. Offcourse it is part of the past, yes we want to forget it and best be buried. I think we are faced with regrets so we can learn from it!.
People should take each day as a learning experience . life is too short for regrets make the most out of life.
No human can be a human being without regrets... no one is a perfect being that is... and in one way or another there is a certain moment in time that you would wish that it did not happen... because it came about by your own doing.
One good thing I've learnt though over the years is that even-though I may have regrets, I should not and try always never to allow those regrets to keep me back from what I can do now to better my tomorrow.
Life is wonderful when you know you hold the key to your future destiny by choices you make now and it don't have to be determined by the past. However the past and its regrets and so forth remains as learning experiences and probably what we may consider as stepping stones for better choices now for the brighter future that is ahead of us and not behind. This is one good thing about life that it moves forward always and never backwards.
One hard thing in life has always been for a one to understand and admit that he or she had done wrong... this becomes one of the biggest stumbling blocks and threat to ones progression to better future.
Without understanding and admitting where one went wrong, one is bound to commit the same mistake over and over again unknowingly thus remain in the same state and maybe worse than from where one began.
I see regrets as one coming to understand and admit ones mistakes and that life is and have always been all about choices... and that one can choose to do right today to make right and be set free from the bond of regrets of the wrong choices of the past.
So even-though I regret them, I am no longer bound or enslaved by them.
This is my two pence... Be Blessed and Stay Blessed!
