You are invited to share and pen your ideas, views or opinions that will facilitate/assist our country back to democracy. All positive and/or negative ideas and comments to steer us back to the road of democracy are welcome.

Whichever way one looks at our current situation back home, democracy has been completely raped. The rape of democracy in Fiji is a virtual degradation of the populus of Fiji. Their human rights are being deprived:

1. the right to decide their government;
2. who they want to represent them;
3. their right to free assembly;
4. free protest;
5. free to organise into groups so that they can talk about what is pertinent to their daily lives;
6. protest on issues they do not agree with....with no fear of intimidation from anybody.

With this military regime in place, the concept of freedom per the Constitution is a total myth!

And, we, the people of Fiji need to come together and be vehement about our total disagreement with the military regime. So give us liberty or death! The reality of the issue is that democracy in Fiji has been raped...from top to bottom...left to right....inside and out and vice versa!

Here we have a military regime that talks about freedom to the people and yet the very same military regime randomly arrest people, torture them, inflict unnecessary harrassment and emotional stress to those that seem a threat to them. The military regime talks about racial unity.......the communal concept of togetherness and yet Fiji is far more racially divided today than it ever was.

The so-called advisors, viz-a-viz, John Samy, these are rejects from their adopted countries and yet they are being rewarded with exuberant amount(s) of money by these rogue military regime who have no idea what they are doing. Lying to the international community does not augur well with this interim government and yet the interim Prime Minister continuously talks with a forked tongue when addressing international issues. The ministers talk about internal securities as if Fiji is going to be invaded.

All around it is clearly seen that the economy is in tatters and the Constitution is just a useless piece of paper. The rule of law is as what the military regime wants it to be.

The above are just some of my views (from a pro-democracy viewpoint). But, do not let that deter you from penning your comments if you share otherwise.

So, let us come together and voice our views/comments, whether they be for or against the military regime and have a very healthy discussion here so that in the end we can factually understand what our role is, what we need to do and how we can come up with ideas to help restore democracy back in our beloved Fiji!

Please feel free to write what you like or dislike about the military regime. Be sincere and honest about your thoughts, without getting personal or spiteful.

Kindly note, this "topic" will expire as soon as we have an election.

RIP Mr. J Tui, and my deep condolences to his family. Be rest assured that we will maintain the rage and ensure that Fiji is returned to its rightful place as a democratic country and a respected member of the international community.
Dear Freedom Advocates,

Yesterday, Sunday the 12th of June at 2.00am Pastor Jone Tui was called to rest. After lunch on Saturday he began to have breathing difficulties and felt nausea to which we tried to comfort him and I called an ambulance which took him to the Queanbeyan hospital. He was later transferred to the Canberra hospital after he was stabilised, but unfortunately, he passed early on Sunday morning.

As it is a long weekend in Australia, there will be a post mortem conducted tomorrow on Tuesday the13th at the John James Medical Centre after which his body will be transferred to the funeral home.

The FDFM Australia has met and we have approached Radini Talatala to consult her and the members of her family with my personal suggestion to take Talatala back to Sydney, as it was our meeting which brought them here. I still have to respect Radini’s wishes, because of the family and the Assembly of God Church. Radini has agreed that the FDFM Australia should escort Talatala back and the family to take Radini back to Sydney where the relatives from Yasawa will be waiting for us.

The FDFM Australia will make sure that Talatala J. Tui’s last journey back to Sydney from his last FDFM meeting is done with dignity and he is accorded all the respect he is due. He was a man of God, and to his last breath he prayed for the freedom of his country and its people.

His death also brings great grief to me as the interim national FDFM President, as he was one of my strongest supporters and personally called me to take this position when our former President resigned earlier in the year. He didn’t want our movement to operate without a leader and he thought that I was the man to lead us in our fight. This humbles me.

When I take Talatala back on his final journey, I will be representing FDFM Worldwide and I will mention this when we say our final good-bye before we lay him to rest.

Talatala is survived by his wife alone as they don’t have children. We will carry on the fight, and we will stay true to the cause, we owe him that.

For strength: Kevaka eda sa bula, eda sa bula ena vuku ni turaga.

Kevaka eda sa mate, eda sa mate ena vuku ni turaga.

O koya oqo, eda sa nona kina na turaga, se da bula se da mate.

I will miss him and I know all FDFM members feel the same.

Suliasi Daunitutu
(Interin National FDFM President, Australia)

Vinaka vakalevu Suli,

I learnt late last night of this sad news and am saddened that a person with such great courage and zeal to be in the frontline of our fight for the Liberation of our beloved country has passed away. He may have left us but he has really inspired us to continue with this fight and we will journey together till we have rid Fiji of this tyrant.

RIP JTui

A True Fijian Warrior

Jake,

Yes, that is my formal message after I have consulted Radini. There were protocol to be followed before I release or post anything about talatala's death. I also have to maitain the intergrity of this man of God and a true believer of freedom and liberty.

As President, I am deeply thankful to God, for giving me a supporter and confidante who was selfless in coming forward with help and assistance. He fasted and prayed for 2 days before the meeting so nothing would happen to Roko Ului or me, this he told me himself. In his last days, he wasn't thinking of himself but of others.

My heart is heavy, but I will fight, I owe Talatala that.

Vinka vakalevu sara Rt.Tau SDaunitutu nai tukutuku ni lolosi!

I am truly saddened by the passing on of "Na Wekaqu Rt.Tau JTui.Me vakalesui ga vua na i taukei ni bula na cecere kei na lagilagi.

REST IN PEACE NA WEKAQU

Vinaka vakalevu Turaga Peresitedi.

RIP Talatala.

We will all miss.

We will carry on regardless in the spirit of lessons you have taught us in this walk.

Ni yalo vakacegu tiko Radini. He has gone home and is in good hands.

Vinaka vakalevu Mr Daunitutu for the news about his untimely passing. Isaa I thought he was back in Sydney with his family, I didn't know he was still in Canberra ... a freedom fighter to the very end....my sincere condolences to his family and all his MTVVL here, on his passing on to his new life. RIP.

My sincerest condolences to our brothers and sisters in Australia for their sad loss. Me vakavinavinakataki tikoga na Yaca ni Noda Kalou. We will follow in Rev Tui's paths, always. The turth, the truth, the truth! Amen!

Mr President Suliasi Daunitutu,

Many condolences have been said about Mr J Tui but this one is from the Democracy and Freedom for Fiji Movement USA Branch.

 It is indeed with great humility that I on behalf of the Democracy and Freedom Movement for Fiji, USA extend to heartfelt sympathy and condolences to Rev J Tui's family, relatives and friends where ever they may be.

 We have come to know and respect J Tui as a  man of great Passion for Equality for his fellow beings, a man who values Human rightd for all, respect for the rule of law and the restoration of Democracy to Fiji.

 His untimely death is leaving a void in our Movement and is also challenging us to Fight on and achieve what we as a Movement set out to do.

 We are saying goodbye to a man of great integrity  in our cause and let us now for his memory  reaffirm our committment to setting Fiji Free from the clutches of this criminal who is calling himself the illegal PM of Fiji.

Rest In Peace J Tui because your memory will make us fight on and restore Democracy for Fiji.

Loruama Tawawili

SA VAKASISILA KA  TORO SOBU DINA NA  VAKARAU ERA CAKAVA VUA NA TURAGA GONA! THEY DID THAT COWARDLY ACT  THINKING THAT THEY WILL BE RESPECTED AND ALSO WILL NOT BE KNOWN LATER?WHAT A BUNCH OF LOSERS!

@ Ukori

What is the victims name ? Why can't he post his identity ? Did this even happen ? What has the Regime got to gain by posting lies about Driti and Mara ?

@ Ukoroi, I agree with Mark.

I am also trying to find out who the person is for motive. I smell a BIG DIRTY RAT by the regime's propaganda team. Propagandists are trained to do exactly this process - lie, intimidate, irritate etc.m to wear down people so they leave the blogs. Indeed, in order to legitimize their illegitimacy.

Mere.
